1st posting on BLOG's blog site
Another experiment with BLOG (Battle Light Opera Group), the idea is to use this more of a posting area for rehearsals and discussion for BLOG members that is set in between newsletter printings.
Next rehearsal is on Thursday (13th of April) at Battle Memorial Hall at 7.30pm with emphasis on dance routines and knowing the words for songs and lines. Then on to Friday
An item that came from John Barnes, which came from CADS - Catsfield Village Hall is running a play reading workshop on Saturday 22nd of April from 5.00pm to 7.00pm. The three short listed playwrights have now each written a 15 minute sample scene for their proposed play and we are inviting local people with an interest in theatre to offer their views during an informal and enjoyable evening work- shop, where the writers' work will be read by a cast of professional actors. The audience's reaction to these plays will strongly influence the decision-making process and following this session, one playwright will be commissioned to write a script for production in 2007. Entrance is free of charge and there is no need to book: simply turn up on the evening.
